Chromic Acid Flakes is also called Chromium Trioxide or Chromic Acid Anhydride. They are easy to dissolve in water. It is hygroscopic in nature and forms a saturated of 62.6% CrO3 at 25 degrees Centigrade.
uses
The major uses of Chromic acid are in wood preservation, metal finishing, and chromium electroplating. It is also used for catalyst manufacturer and as an oxidizing agent.
Electrodeposition of chromium both as decorative and as hard chrome types are done with chromic acid only
