Sodium Dichromate is highly corrosive and is a strong oxidizing agent. The substance is mainly used to produce othr chromium compounds.

It is also used in drilling muds, in leather treatments, wood preservatives, in the production of dye & organic chemicals and as a corrotion inhibitor
